The Opportunity

CoinDesk is hiring a Social Media Manager to define and execute the social media strategy for Consensus 2026 in Miami & Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the crypto and Web3 communities and will be responsible for increasing brand awareness, engagement, and attendance through social media channels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a social media strategy for Consensus 2026 to increase brand awareness and engagement across Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Telegram, and Facebook.
• Create and curate content (articles, videos, infographics, etc.) that resonates with the target audience.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to distribute content.
• Monitor KPIs and analyze campaign effectiveness.
• Engage with the community by responding to comments, questions, and concerns.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in crypto and Web3.
• Coordinate with the PR and Communications teams to ensure a cohesive brand message.
• Edit and proofread content for accuracy, grammar, and consistency.
• Manage internal/external design teams to execute campaigns.
• Deploy approved content on social platforms using tools like Sprout, Typefully, or natively.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 3+ years of social media marketing experience, preferably in crypto or Web3 industries.
• Strong understanding of social media algorithms and best practices.
• Exceptional writing, communication, and editing skills.
• Proficiency with social media management tools like Sprout Social and Canva.
• Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Insights.
