About Coinbase Ventures:

Coinbase Ventures invests in emerging technologies, particularly in the crypto/web3 ecosystem, supporting over 400 companies worldwide. We focus on providing research, insights, and investments in early-stage teams/projects, fostering innovation in the space.

Responsibilities:

• Support all aspects of the Ventures investment lifecycle.
• Build relationships within the crypto ecosystem, including with founders, investors, and experts.
• Become a subject matter expert in specific verticals and lead investments independently.
• Drive special projects to improve Coinbase Ventures' operational platform and processes.

Requirements:

• 3+ years in a highly analytical role (investment banking, VC, management consulting) or a technical role (product, engineering) in crypto.
• Hands-on experience in crypto with a strong understanding of on-chain mechanics and emerging trends.
• Passion for the crypto space with strong investment judgment.
• Excellent writing, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Networking abilities and thought leadership/content publishing experience.
• Experience working with startup management teams and executives.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience evaluating infrastructure or consumer/application layer products in crypto or web2.
• Experience at a top-tier VC or crypto-specific company.
• Data analysis or engineering experience, preferably with blockchain tools (Dune, Nansen, etc.).

Salary Range:

$135,320 USD - $159,200 USD per year
