Job Title: Director of Social Marketing
Location: United States (Remote, with required in-person participation)
Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $253,895 - $298,700 annually + bonus, equity, and benefits

Role Overview:
As Director of Social Marketing, you will lead the development and execution of Coinbase’s social media strategy, focusing on engaging both the crypto-curious and crypto-forward audiences. You’ll manage a team of social strategists and content managers, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive measurable growth and engagement across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute Coinbase’s social marketing strategy with clear KPIs.
- Lead audience targeting, paid media planning, and campaign execution.
- Drive growth and engagement across all social channels.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Comms, Policy, and Brand teams to align messaging.
- Manage budgets, calendars, reporting, and vendor relationships.
- Advise executive leadership during urgent communications or crises.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing social marketing team.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years in social marketing within fast-paced, innovative environments (agency + in-house preferred).
- 5+ years leading social marketing teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of brand/social metrics and analytics-driven storytelling.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with executives and act as a key advisor.
Preferred:
- Experience in Tech or Finance sectors.
- Background in Brand Marketing, Advertising, or Communications.
