Salary Range: $253,895 - $298,700 annually + bonus, equity, and benefits

Role Overview:

As Director of Social Marketing, you will lead the development and execution of Coinbase’s social media strategy, focusing on engaging both the crypto-curious and crypto-forward audiences. You’ll manage a team of social strategists and content managers, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive measurable growth and engagement across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and execute Coinbase’s social marketing strategy with clear KPIs.
• Lead audience targeting, paid media planning, and campaign execution.
• Drive growth and engagement across all social channels.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Comms, Policy, and Brand teams to align messaging.
• Manage budgets, calendars, reporting, and vendor relationships.
• Advise executive leadership during urgent communications or crises.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing social marketing team.

Qualifications:

• 12+ years in social marketing within fast-paced, innovative environments (agency + in-house preferred).
• 5+ years leading social marketing teams.
• Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills.
• Deep understanding of brand/social metrics and analytics-driven storytelling.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with executives and act as a key advisor.

Preferred:

• Experience in Tech or Finance sectors.
• Background in Brand Marketing, Advertising, or Communications.
