Salary: $267,325 - $314,500/year

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and oversee the second line technology and security risk team.
• Develop and drive the Technology Risk Management framework across Coinbase’s three lines of defense.
• Lead company-wide tech and security risk initiatives in collaboration with leadership.
• Build, grow, and coach a team of risk analysts, fostering agility and innovation.
• Implement scalable risk policies, standards, and technology.
• Conduct periodic risk assessments and ensure ongoing monitoring and clear communication of risk treatment activities.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to manage risks across multiple products and locations.
• Stay current with international regulations, emerging threats, and security benchmarks.
• Partner with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Operational Risk for oversight consistency.
• Develop communication and education plans for the security risk program.

What They Want From You:

• 12+ years of experience in technology risk, information security risk, IT audit, or related fields.
• 8+ years of management experience.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Proven track record embedding risk management practices operationally.
• Deep knowledge of security/risk frameworks (NIST, COBIT, ISO, FAIR, DORA).
• Expertise managing all phases of the risk lifecycle in tech/security contexts.
• Ability to move between strategic vision and operational execution.
• Skilled at working with diverse stakeholders, including regulators.
• Experience in cloud environments and building scalable, automated solutions.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in fintech, financial services, or tech companies.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms, Google apps, JIRA, Confluence.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Skills in quantitative modeling and data visualization.
• Prior crypto or blockchain experience.
• Security certifications (CRISC, CISM, CISA).
