Role Overview:

Lead Coinbase’s engagement with Democratic Members of Congress, candidates, and regulators to advance federal crypto policy priorities, including market structure legislation. Collaborate across teams to shape policy strategy and represent Coinbase externally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with Democratic congressional offices, committees, and caucuses.
• Monitor and analyze federal legislation and political developments impacting Coinbase.
• Work cross-functionally to develop and communicate policy positions.
• Represent Coinbase in meetings with policymakers, trade groups, and coalitions.
• Prepare briefing materials and talking points for senior leaders.
• Coordinate with lobbyists and consultants to align advocacy efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years in government affairs, Capitol Hill, campaigns, or advocacy.
• Strong relationships in Congress, especially financial services or tech committees.
• Experience driving policy in complex legislative environments.
• Excellent communication, judgment, and political instincts.
• Ability to manage priorities independently.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with crypto, fintech, or financial regulation.
• Experience with advocacy campaigns or trade associations.
• Passion for crypto and Web3.
• Law degree a plus.
