🌍 About the Role
As a Key Account Manager (Associate Vendor Specialist), you’ll act as a strategic consultant to Amazon's vendor partners. You’ll help them grow their business using data analytics, advertising insights, and e-commerce best practices across operations, marketing, and supply chain. This is a hybrid role involving consulting, project management, account strategy, and category growth.
đź› Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Consulting (Core Service):
- Analyze performance data to offer tailored, actionable recommendations to vendors on how to grow their Amazon business (e.g., using promotions, fixing catalog quality, increasing availability).
- Relationship Management:
- Be the key point of contact for your vendors, focusing on trust, long-term partnerships, and proactive guidance.
- Supply Chain Optimization:
- Improve stock availability, lead time management, and operational efficiency for vendors.
- Marketing & Advertising Support:
- Plan and manage vendor campaigns around Amazon events (e.g., Prime Day), plus coordinate with Amazon Advertising teams to boost conversion and traffic.
- Catalog & Discoverability Expansion:
- Launch new products, manage catalog health, improve visibility and enhance customer journey with quality data.
- Problem Solving & Project Management:
- Identify growth blockers and launch cross-functional initiatives to fix them. Own a vendor-focused or Amazon-wide project end-to-end.
- Team Participation:
- Collaborate with internal Amazon teams and contribute to broader e-commerce initiatives in South Africa.
âś… Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years’ experience in one or more of:
- Key Account Management / Client Success
- Business Consulting / Strategy
- E-commerce / Buying / Category Management
- Marketing or Financial Analysis
- Project/Program Management

- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Comfort with ambiguity and entrepreneurial environments
- Experience in data analysis and business storytelling
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Proven record of owning and driving projects to completion
- Passion for e-commerce, digital retail, or vendor enablement
