Role Overview:

Discord is seeking a Sales Manager for Cross-platform Gaming to lead and drive revenue growth in the PC/Desktop & Console Advertisers vertical. This role will be responsible for managing a team of Account Executives and Account Managers, as well as leading strategic initiatives. The manager will guide the team in sales efforts, relationship-building, and industry market engagement, particularly in the XP gaming space.

This position is ideal for someone with 8+ years of experience in digital advertising or media sales, including 3+ years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve revenue goals.
• Establish a high-performance sales culture with a focus on coaching, collaboration, and growth.
• Work with the Director of Gaming Sales to refine sales processes and optimize team performance.

Sales & Revenue Growth:

• Own and drive revenue goals for the team.
• Support team members in identifying new business opportunities and managing existing client relationships.
• Assist in negotiating and closing high-value deals.

Industry & Market Engagement:

• Represent Discord at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
• Stay ahead of trends in the gaming industry and share insights with the team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Marketing, RevOps) to align sales efforts with product offerings.
• Provide feedback to help shape the future of Discord’s advertising business.

What You Should Have:

• 8+ years of experience in digital advertising, media sales, or brand marketing.
• 3+ years of leadership experience (managing teams or similar roles).
• Proven track record in revenue generation and successful sales strategies.
• Strong understanding of advertising dynamics, especially within the XP gaming industry.
• Ability to build and maintain senior-level client relationships.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting quickly to challenges.
• Willingness to travel for key client meetings and industry events.

Compensation:

The US base salary range for this position is $320k - $400k OTE plus equity and benefits. Salary is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education.
