Role: Payments Risk Analyst II

Salary: $135,320 – $159,200/year + bonus + equity

About the Role:

Join Coinbase’s Payments Risk team to identify and prevent fraud on key payment rails. You'll own fraud controls, build dashboards, and work cross-functionally to protect users while maintaining a smooth customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Detect and mitigate fraudulent deposit activity
• Build logic to identify high-risk behavior
• Monitor metrics and maintain dashboards
• Own reporting processes and partner communications
• Collaborate with teams across Product, Growth, and Data

Requirements:

• 4+ years relevant experience
• 2+ years in payment fraud detection
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills
• Familiar with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
• Strong communication and independent problem-solving

Preferred:

• Python/R or ML experience
• Understanding of blockchain fraud trend
