• Title: Staff Engineering Manager, Web Systems

• Key Systems: Monorepo tooling, SSR, CI/CD, frontend performance observability

🛠 Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Web Systems engineering team
• Drive roadmap for core frontend systems (build tools, SSR, CI/CD, etc.)
• Ensure platform infrastructure aligns with business outcomes
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive best practices and platform adoption
• Maintain and evolve web infrastructure systems
• Guide architectural decisions aligned with performance, scale, and accessibility

📅 Day-to-Day Activities

• Lead 1:1s, unblock teams, align priorities, and manage project risks
• Drive technical strategy and roadmap execution
• Review architecture proposals and maintain team velocity
• Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and learning

✅ Required Qualifications

• 7–9+ years experience in software engineering (or equivalent education/experience)
• 3+ years managing engineering/platform teams
• 3+ years experience with:
• Frontend frameworks (React)
• Build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite)
• CI/CD pipelines

⭐ Preferred Skills

• Experience with:
• UI monorepos and large-scale frontend systems
• SSR infrastructure and service worker patterns
• Web performance, a11y, i18n best practices
• Tools like Datadog, Sentry, telemetry systems
• Experience leading distributed teams
