The Opportunity
The Account Manager will manage sponsorships for the Consensus Hong Kong event, working with sponsors from the APAC and MENA regions to ensure all pre-event and post-event deliverables are met. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a strong ability to collaborate with internal teams, and the capacity to maintain excellent client relations.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day sponsor relations for CoinDesk events, particularly in the APAC and MENA regions.
- Oversee the execution of sponsor deliverables, including signage, artwork, and custom activations (charging stations, water, swag, etc.).
- Create and manage sponsor onboarding documents such as exhibitor guides and introduction emails.
- Lead communication with sponsors, providing prompt responses to emails and managing expectations.
- Ensure sponsor content is delivered on time, including weekly bulletins and meeting schedules.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Programming, etc.) for sponsor-related deliverables.
- Stay updated on Hong Kong venues and assist in planning side events and activations.
- Handle vendor communications and ensure sponsor deliverables are met at the event venue.
- Conduct on-site sponsor checks during the event to ensure their needs are addressed.
- Assist with post-event reports, including Proof of Placement and recaps.
- Travel internationally for event execution and site visits as necessary.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of event planning experience with a proven track record of managing large-scale events or conferences.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent client communication and service skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to travel and work non-traditional hours as required for event execution.
Location Requirement
The position will be based in Hong Kong, with international travel required for the live show and site visits.
