Job Summary
The Affordable Assistant Manager supports the Community Manager in maintaining property operations, maximizing financial returns, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This position involves leasing, resident relations, financial oversight, and property compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Leasing & Resident Relations
- Handle leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person community tours.
- Assist in resident file management, including applications, lease agreements, and renewals.
- Enforce community rules, manage resident disputes, and respond to inquiries.
- Maintain compliance with HUD, RD, Bond, and Tax Credit guidelines.
- Financial & Administrative Tasks
- Process rent payments, track delinquencies, and manage evictions if needed.
- Reconcile resident ledgers monthly and during move-outs.
- Assist in weekly and monthly financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate resident and applicant records.
- Property Maintenance & Compliance
- Ensure curb appeal and compliance with government and environmental regulations.
- Ensure compliance with the Washington State Residential Landlord & Tenant Act.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in administration, leasing, or property management preferred.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle financial transactions and reconcile ledgers.
- Proficiency in office software and data entry (35+ WPM typing speed).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to communicate professionally with residents, team members, and vendors.
