Role Overview:

As a Group Financial Controller, you will take full ownership of Hospitable.com’s financial operations, aiming to enhance efficiency and growth. You will lead the finance team, streamline processes, and ensure the company remains aligned with its financial goals. Your primary goal will be to reduce the month-end close cycle from 15 to 5 days, with oversight and responsibility for all financial reporting, compliance, and risk management across the company’s global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Oversight: Provide strategic financial oversight and deliverables to the CEO, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Operational Leadership: Build and manage the finance team, overseeing day-to-day operations such as bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
• Reporting & Compliance: Ensure the accuracy of financial reports, supervise internal and external audits, and ensure compliance with regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Internal Controls & Risk Management: Develop a system of internal controls to safeguard assets and manage risks effectively.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, develop financial models to support strategic planning, and collaborate with leadership to optimize profitability.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience:
• 7+ years of experience in accounting/finance roles, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Proven track record managing financial reporting, budgeting, and audits in an international context (US, EMEA, Australia).
• Experience with SaaS or high-growth environments is highly valued.
• Qualifications:
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA).
• Skills:
• Proficiency in financial tools such as NetSuite, AP, and FP&A.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.
