As an Engineering Manager - Backend (Data) at Uniswap Labs, you will lead a talented team of engineers to build and optimize scalable software systems that seamlessly integrate blockchain data into Uniswap’s suite of products. In this high-impact role, you will guide the development of backend systems, drive innovation, and enhance the performance of data retrieval and processing as data volumes grow.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and engineering, to deliver key features and solutions that advance Uniswap’s mission to create a transparent, global, and equitable digital economy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of software and data engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Oversee the design, development, and delivery of scalable backend systems that integrate with the Uniswap Protocol.
• Manage the extraction, transformation, and integration of blockchain and other data sources.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define project priorities and technical solutions.
• Drive innovation in data retrieval and processing to enhance the performance and scalability of systems.

Ideal Background:

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in an engineering management role.
• Strong experience with software development and blockchain data structures.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in the crypto or blockchain industry.
• Familiarity with blockchain protocols and decentralized technologies.
• Proficiency with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development.
