Job Overview:
- Position: Commercial Director
- Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm EST
- Seniority: Senior level
- Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000 annually
- Industries: Fintech, Legal Tech, Software, Financial Services, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive business development and sales targeting law firms (boutique to global)
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at law firms
- Cultivate and manage a robust sales pipeline, close deals
- Conduct market research on legal industry trends and challenges
- Collaborate with product/solution teams to align offerings with client needs
- Deliver consultative sales presentations and product demos showcasing ROI
- Lead negotiations including complex contracts, pricing, and terms
- Represent CSC at industry events and build a professional network in the legal community
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of sales experience; 1-2 years in a commercial role selling to law firms or professional services (financial, accounting)
- Proven track record exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Deep understanding of legal services industry, law firm operations, and purchasing behaviors
- Consultative, solution-oriented selling approach
- Strong negotiation skills with senior-level clients
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficient with CRM (Salesforce), sales analytics, Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling legal technology, SaaS, or professional services to law firms
- Established network within the legal industry
- Experience managing large, complex sales cycles and enterprise clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
