About the Role

We are looking for a Community Manager to lead and expand our online customer community. With a subscriber base of over 15,000+ users, our goal is to have at least 50% actively engaged by the end of the year. If you have a passion for fostering vibrant communities and building customer engagement, we want you on our team!

You will report to our Head of Marketing, Miles (who, by the way, loves avocados 🥑).

What You’ll Do

• Increase Customer Engagement: Create and post compelling content to spark discussions and enhance participation in our community.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to highlight key updates, gather user feedback, and share insights.
• Community Advocacy: Encourage short-term rental hosts to support one another by answering questions and sharing best practices.
• Customer Recognition: Celebrate top contributors and position them as Hospitable Experts.
• Brand Consistency: Maintain our brand’s tone of voice across all communications.
• Support Management: Monitor public conversations, identifying when to escalate issues for private resolution.
• Self-Service Optimization: Drive users towards self-sufficient problem-solving within the community.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in a Community Manager role.
• Familiarity with online community or forum platforms (preferably Gainsight CC).
• Experience in marketing and/or customer support (bonus points if you have both!).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude.
• Short-term rental or property management experience is a plus!
