Role Overview:

Join the BCG X team to work closely with consulting teams across industries. As a Data Analyst, you will deliver advanced analytics solutions, build analytical tools, and provide insights that support high-impact client decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and deliver analytical modules in consulting projects
• Work with case teams to gather requirements and design solutions
• Execute and implement data models and visualizations
• Develop software modules, MVPs, and dashboards
• Train teams on analytics tools and methodologies
• Communicate insights through reports and visual materials
• Develop expertise in at least one analytics domain

Must-Have Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python or R
• SQL for data extraction from relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, etc.)
• Data wrangling (Pandas or similar libraries)
• Statistical inference using Python, R, or Excel
• Data visualization using Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, Dash, etc.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new tech stacks quickly

Preferred (Good-to-Have) Skills:

• Dashboard/web app development with Django, Flask, React, etc.
• Experience with low-code platforms like Alteryx, Knime, Dataiku
• Exposure to analytics use cases: customer analytics, pricing, predictive maintenance, supply chain
• GeoAnalytics knowledge
• Simulation/optimization experience (Linear Programming, Mixed Integer Programming)
• Tools: Gurobi, AIMMS, LLamasoft, AnyLogic
• Programming/scripting: SQL, C#, Perl, Spark, VBA
• Experience with Big Data tools: Hadoop, Hive, Amazon Redshift
• Familiarity with tools like GitHub, JIRA, Confluence

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics
• Prior experience in advanced analytics (internships included)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Consulting experience is a plus
• Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
