About the Role:

As part of Coinbase’s Compliance Operations Quality Assurance team, you will focus on conducting audits of transaction monitoring system (TMS) cases to support Coinbase’s Anti-Money Laundering / Combatting the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) program. This role involves identifying procedural gaps, providing insights, and training new analysts.

Responsibilities:

• Perform QA reviews of TMS cases to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
• Lead calibrations and support other QA analysts with office hours.
• Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues and improve processes.
• Develop and present metrics and dashboards to drive actionable insights.
• Provide feedback on procedures to improve consistency and clarity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Analytics, Financial Crime Compliance, etc.) to enhance processes.
• Handle complex audits with a significant impact on Compliance Operations.
• Respond to queries regarding complex procedural requirements.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of QA, audit, or financial crime investigation experience.
• In-depth knowledge of BSA/AML regulations.
• ACAMS or equivalent AML qualification.
• Proven experience in metrics reporting and data analysis.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate globally.
• Proficiency in Google Apps (Sheets, Slides), Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with crypto exchanges or financial services.
• Project management, analytics, or quality assurance experience.
• Advanced understanding of Google Apps, JIRA, and Salesforce Service Cloud.
• ACAMS certification or equivalent.

Salary Range:

£55,620 GBP - £61,800 GBP per year
