About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead high-impact initiatives across Udemy’s product and technology portfolios. As a TPM, you will manage complex, cross-functional programs, drive alignment, and enable scalable execution throughout the product development lifecycle. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams, ensuring smooth coordination, prioritization, and capacity alignment across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional programs from inception to delivery, managing scope, schedules, risks, and stakeholder alignment.
• Work closely with other TPMs and senior leaders to translate strategy into executable roadmaps.
• Facilitate technical discovery and scoping processes to assess feasibility and make informed trade-offs.
• Identify and manage interdependencies, proactively removing blockers for smooth execution.
• Improve team effectiveness and consistency by refining program delivery frameworks and tools.
• Support metrics-driven decision-making and automate reporting processes.
• Communicate effectively across all levels, adapting your style for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate on portfolio-level initiatives and best practices with other TPMs.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
• Proven track record of managing complex, multi-team initiatives with high strategic value.
• Strong technical fluency and experience working with engineering, product, and design teams.
• Expertise in project management tools like Jira and Confluence, with the ability to configure workflows and dashboards.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• A proactive mindset with a bias for action, energized by solving problems and creating leverage for others.
• Ability to operate across a broad portfolio of initiatives and think strategically while handling execution details.

• Experience contributing to organizational-level practices like onboarding programs or cross-functional rituals.
• Exposure to user-facing product development and a passion for improving customer experiences.
