About Unit 0x:

Unit 0x is Coinbase's on-chain investigations team, focused on securing the crypto ecosystem. This specialized team identifies and mitigates threats, including illicit activities, on-chain exploits, and emerging risks, utilizing advanced blockchain analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Lead investigations into illicit activities, scams, and vulnerabilities using blockchain analytics.
• Document and analyze exploit methods, attack vectors, and impacts to strengthen Coinbase's security posture.
• Develop and automate scalable methods for detecting emerging threats, including building dashboards and writing queries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on evolving risk landscapes and mitigations.
• Monitor and research threat actors and emerging blockchain trends to stay ahead of illicit activities.
• Respond to urgent, sensitive cases with professionalism and discretion.

Requirements:

• Strong organizational and self-starter abilities.
• Expertise in blockchain ecosystems and investigative analysis.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Deep SQL skills for on-chain analysis.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain discretion.
• Familiarity with AI to enhance productivity.

Nice to Haves:

• Previous experience in corporate OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) analysis.
• Experience with blockchain analytics platforms (Dune Analytics, Flipside, Chainbase).

Salary Range:

$144,500 USD - $170,000 USD per year
