Position Summary

The GARE Data and Insights Manager will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data in alignment with GARE’s measurement and evaluation framework. This role supports GARE’s network, staff, and funders by providing insights into network activities and impact. The manager will also contribute to research projects that support GARE programming and assist in grant reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Collection & Analysis
• Manage and improve GARE’s measurement and evaluation framework.
• Collect and analyze data from the GARE online community and report key insights.
• Prepare annual evaluation reports for GARE’s self-paced learning courses.
• Conduct research and data analysis to support innovative approaches to racial equity in government.
• Strategic Insights & Reporting
• Transform raw data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
• Assist in reporting jurisdictional impact and presenting insights to GARE staff and network.
• Support staff in using best practices for data collection and analysis to improve program impact.
• Cross-Team Collaboration
• Provide technical assistance to GARE jurisdictions measuring their impact.
• Work with the Operations Team to track and monitor grant reporting fields.
• Collaborate with GARE’s Strategic Content Manager to align insights with content development.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, research, or program evaluation.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience using Tableau and Salesforce (required).
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical data into organizational insights.
• Knowledge of racial justice work and movement building.
• Experience working within or adjacent to government agencies (preferred).
• Experience using virtual collaboration tools like Asana, Slack, and Canva (preferred).
