Pfizer — Clinical Statistician, Associate Director
Location: Hybrid (5 locations)
Level: Senior
Salary: $135K–$225K annually

Role Overview
Lead statistical support for clinical trials, primarily within the Rheumatology group of Inflammation and Immunology & Specialty Care at Pfizer R&D. Collaborate cross-functionally to design studies, develop analysis plans, perform statistical analyses, interpret results, and support regulatory submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide rigorous statistical input for project plans, study designs, analysis plans, and regulatory submissions.
- Ensure quality of statistical deliverables per timelines and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with clinical teams, statisticians, programmers, and external partners.
- Communicate and present statistical results and reports, including for publications and regulatory defense.
- Support development of new statistical methodologies and contribute to Pfizer’s statistical community.
- Stay updated on regulatory guidelines and influence their interpretation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education:
- Master’s in Statistics/Biostatistics with 8+ years clinical trial experience OR
- PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics with 4+ years clinical trial experience
- Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language (R, SAS, or Python).
- Experience with reproducible research tools (e.g., R Markdown, Quarto, Git/GitHub).
- Strong communication skills to explain statistical concepts clearly.
- Experience with clinical data modeling and statistical inference.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong computational skills.
- Experience in study design, protocol development, and analysis plan writing.
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) in clinical settings (a plus).
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary range $135,100 to $225,100.
- Bonus eligibility (17.5% target).
