Project Overview:

This contract role supports Upwork’s Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team, contributing to the development of AI-driven documentation tools, data platforms, and engineering performance systems. There is potential for contract renewal based on performance and project needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop AI-powered documentation solutions and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Build centralized documentation discovery services using OpenSearch
• Integrate developer experience (DX) tooling for engineering metrics
• Design and maintain ETL pipelines with cross-platform data validation
• Create dashboards in Grafana and advanced tools in Retool
• Conduct time series analysis and manage PostgreSQL/data warehouse systems
• Perform survey, ROI, and multi-platform data correlation analysis

Must-Have Skills:

• 5+ years in data engineering or analytics
• Advanced SQL and database expertise
• Python for data processing and automation
• JavaScript for metrics and query optimization
• Experience with Grafana and Retool
• AWS/EC2, PostgreSQL, and system integration skills
