Position: Senior Project Manager, Events

Location: Pleasanton, CA (50% Remote)

Type: Contract (12 months)

Pay Rate: $60-$67/hr

Top 3 Required Skills

• 7+ years of project management experience
• Event marketing experience (in-person & virtual events)
• Proficiency in project management tools (Workfront, Smartsheet, Google Docs, etc.)

Role Overview

You will be the lead organizer for:

• Corporate, executive, industry, and internal events
• Both virtual and in-person events
• Cross-functional collaboration across marketing, creative, and production teams

Your Responsibilities

• Build and manage event project plans (budgets, schedules, scope)
• Lead status meetings, track milestones, and solve challenges proactively
• Coordinate logistics: registration, websites, creative assets, virtual platforms, onsite details (booths, signage, swag, etc.)
• Communicate consistently with stakeholders and teams
• Document processes, conduct post-event audits, and drive process improvements
• Assign creative and production resources through PM tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Experience leading virtual and cross-functional teams
• Understanding of design, production, and event execution basics
• PMP certification, SaaS marketing background, or agency experience are all plus
• AI knowledge to boost project management efficiency is a plus
