About the Role:

Join Coinbase’s CX Analytics Engineering team, which bridges data engineering, data science, and business analytics to build scalable data solutions. You'll work on building robust data pipelines, data models, and tools to empower stakeholders across the organization, helping them make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain foundational data models that serve as a single source of truth
• Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, product, business) to create actionable insights
• Design scalable data models, dashboards, and tools
• Build frameworks, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency and ensure high-quality data
• Quickly develop subject matter expertise in business areas and data domains
• Work with product managers and engineers to address data gaps and deliver valuable solutions

What We Look For in You:

• Customer Support Data Experience: Understanding of data processes supporting customer support, including performance monitoring, staffing, and handling PII
• Data Modeling Expertise: Strong background in designing modular and reusable data models (star schemas, snowflake schemas)
• Advanced SQL: Proficiency in data transformation, querying, and optimization
• Intermediate to Advanced Python: Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and scripting/automation
• Data Pipeline Development: Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines (tools like dbt, Airflow, etc.)
• Data Visualization: Experience creating polished dashboards using Looker, Tableau, Superset, or Python visualization libraries
• Collaboration & Communication: Ability to translate technical concepts into business value and work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Data Architecture: Knowledge of modern data lake/warehouse architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks)
• Business Acumen: Ability to address business challenges through analytics engineering

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
